Kinesthetic learners seem to enjoy being part of what is 'real', using a pro-active, hands-on approach to their studies. This approach suits me down to the ground and I better change my style of learning sharp-ish!
One thing I've been told over and over by others is that I am an extrovert. I haven't had any formal or informal tests to prove that assumption is true, but I do like to be part of 'something'. I feed from others and turn that energy into motivation. I can also work alone, but sometimes I can fade, taking light years for me to start, once i do start, there's no stopping me!
Now I understand what my style should be, I'm going to invest precious time and effort chasing sound advice and information to insure I make the most of the said learning technique. Anything to make my studying life has easy has possible!
Well how refreshing that the Vark has helped you to think about the way you learn! Hopefully this will now help you to learn more effectively.
ReplyDeleteYou are right - learning syles and personality do tend to reflect each other - kinesthetic and visual learners tend to have personalities which veer toward extrovert, whereas aural/read write tend toward introversion.
